Determine the specific discharge of the flow through earthen embankment dam having 2.5 m thick centre impervious core. The upstream and downstream slopes of an earthen embankment dam are 1:1 and 2:1 respectively. The water depth at upstream is 25 m. The dam has a crest width of 4 m and free board of 2 m.
