Mention the importance of initial conditions in the circuit analysis. Draw the equivalent circuit showing the initial and final condition for inductor and capacitor.
In the given network, the capacitor C1 is charged to voltage V0 and switch K is closed at t = 0. When R1 = 2MΩ, V0 = 1000V, R2 = 1MΩ, C1 = 10μF and C2 = 20μF, solve for i1, i2, di2dt, and d2i2dt2 at t = 0+.
In the network shown in figure below the switch is changed from a to b at t = 0. Show that at t = 0+, i1 = i2 = -V/(R1+R2+R3) and i3 = 0. Also find the voltage across C1, C2, L1 and L2 at t = 0+.
